Abstract
Systems and methods are directed to verification of configuration data stored in memory cells. For example, in one embodiment, an integrated circuit such as a programmable logic device includes a plurality of non-volatile memory cells and a plurality of volatile memory cells adapted to receive and store data provided from the plurality of non-volatile memory cells. A comparator is adapted to compare stored data from the plurality of volatile memory cells with the data values of the plurality of non-volatile memory cells. Control circuitry is responsive to the comparator to control whether configuration data from the plurality of non-volatile memory cells is loaded to the plurality of volatile memory cells.
Claims13
An integrated circuit comprising:
- a plurality of non-volatile memory cells arranged in rows;
- a plurality of volatile memory cells arranged in rows and adapted to receive and store data provided from the plurality of non-volatile memory cells;
- a comparator adapted to compare a first row of data stored in the plurality of volatile memory cells with a first row of data of the plurality of non-volatile memory cells;
- and
- control circuitry responsive to the comparator to control whether configuration data from the plurality of non-volatile memory cells is loaded to the plurality of volatile memory cells, wherein the control circuitry is adapted to cause the configuration data from the remainder of the rows of non-volatile memory cells to be loaded to the remainder of the rows of volatile memory cells without further comparing of data once the comparing of the first rows of data indicates a data match.
An integrated circuit comprising:
- a plurality of non-volatile memory cells;
- a plurality of volatile memory cells;
- means for providing data from the plurality of non-volatile memory cells to the plurality of volatile memory cells;
- means for comparing data stored in a first set of the plurality of volatile memory cells with data of a first set of the plurality of non-volatile memory cells;
- and
- means for causing the configuration data from the remainder of the non-volatile memory cells to be loaded to the remainder of the volatile memory cells without further comparing of data once the comparing of the first sets of data indicates a data match.
A method of verifying data transfer within an integrated circuit, the method comprising:
- loading data from a first row of non-volatile memory cells to a first row of volatile memory cells, the non-volatile memory cells and volatile memory cells each arranged in a plurality of rows;
- comparing data stored in the first row of volatile memory cells with data of the first row of non-volatile memory cells;
- and
- loading configuration data from the remainder of the rows of non-volatile memory cells to the remainder of the rows of volatile memory cells without further comparing of data once the comparing of the first rows of data indicates a data match.
