## Abstract

Tumor necrosis factors and their receptors have proven usefulness in both basic research and as therapeutics. The present invention provides a new human tumor necrosis factor receptor designated as “Ztnfr12.”

## Claims

### Claim 1

An isolated polypeptide selected from the group consisting of (a) a polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 1 to 69 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, and (b) a polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 7 to 69 of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 wherein said polypeptide binds ZTNF4 that has the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 5.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A fusion protein consisting of the polypeptide of claim 1 and an immunoglobulin moiety.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The fusion protein of claim 2, wherein the fusion protein consists of a polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 1 to 69 of SEQ ID NO:2.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The fusion protein of claim 2, wherein the fusion protein consists of a polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 7 to 69 of SEQ ID NO:2.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

The fusion protein of claim 2 wherein said immunoglobulin moiety is a Fc fragment.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The fusion protein of claim 5 wherein said Fc fragment is Fc5.
