## Abstract

The present invention is directed to pharmaceutical compositions that contain a combination of apolipoprotein E and an antigenic lipid. The compositions may be administered to a subject for the purpose of inducing an immune response against the lipid and in immunization protocols.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of inducing the production of antibodies against an antigenic lipid, comprising administering to a subject capable of antibody production a composition comprising:
a) said antigenic lipid; and
b) apolipoprotein E in an amount that, together with said antigenic lipid, is sufficient to induce production of said antibodies.
