Method for debugging a business process flow

A system for debugging an application collaboration in an interchange server, the method comprising:

• A processor configured for:
• creating a collaboration object from a template:
• configuring the collaboration object by binding said collaboration object to connectors or other collaboration objects;
• deploying the collaboration object:
• retrieving a collaboration name using an IDL Interface ICollaboration;
• creating an instance of an implementation of IRteDebuggerCallbackPOA portable object adapter;
• attaching a debugger to a remote running application collaboration executing a business process by passing the implementation through an IDebuggerCallback IDL interface of the collaboration;
• initiating a debugger session;
• receiving a set of breakpoints to be inserted into designated points in the debugging session;
• inserting the set of breakpoints into designated points in the debugging session;
• stopping the running of the application collaboration at one or more of the breakpoints;
• determining a status of the business process;
• and
• presenting a user with information relating to where the business process has stopped, the status of the process flow, and how to continue the business process.
