Abstract
The present invention describes processes for the preparation of O-desmethylvenlafaxine and tridesmethylvenlafaxine, which may be used as an intermediate in preparing O-desmethylvenlafaxine.
Claims32
A process for preparing O-desmethylvenlafaxine comprising demethylating didesmethylvenlafaxine to obtain tridesmethyl venlafaxine, and converting said tridesmethyl venlafaxine to O-desmethylvenlafaxine.
