Abstract
An apparatus for trimming brochures has a pair of front cutting blades and a transport apparatus for guiding the brochures to the pair of front cutting blades. For an operator-friendly changeover of the apparatus which is associated with little expenditure, in the event of a change of the distance between the front edges of the brochures and their respective setpoint cutting line, the transport apparatus can be locked at adjustable distances from the pair of front cutting blades.
Claims7
An apparatus for trimming brochures, comprising:
- a pair of front cutting blades;
- a transport apparatus for guiding the brochures to said pair of front cutting blades in a transport direction, said transport device having a slotted guide;
- a displacement device having at least one eccentric disk engaging in said slotted guide for positioning said transport apparatus at adjustable distances from said front pair of cutting blades;
- said transport apparatus including a ramp for sliding across a positionally fixed element to raise an end of said transport apparatus facing said pair of front cutting blades when said transport apparatus is moved away from said pair of front cutting blades;
- and
- a locking device for locking said transport apparatus in a given locked position at any of a plurality of adjustable distances from said pair of front cutting blades.

- a pair of front cutting blades;
- a transport apparatus for guiding the brochures to said pair of front cutting blades in a transport direction, said transport device having a slotted guide;

- a locking device for locking said transport apparatus in a given locked position at any of a plurality of adjustable distances in said transport direction and adjustable heights from said pair of front cutting blades.
