Abstract
A flat panel display and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, the flat panel display includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels formed on the substrate, and a light resonating layer formed on the subpixels. Each of the pixels includes subpixels that emit red light, green light, and blue light, respectively. The light resonating layer includes two or more layers and varies in thickness depending on the colors of the light emitted from the subpixels.
Claims17
A flat panel display, comprising:
- a substrate;
- a plurality of pixels formed on the substrate, wherein each pixel includes three subpixels emitting red light, green light, and blue light, respectively;
- and
- a light resonating layer formed on the subpixels,
- wherein the light resonating layer includes a plurality of sub-layers, wherein each of the sub-layers comprises, in a given pixel, three sections having different thicknesses, and wherein the three sections are formed over the three subpixels, respectively.
A flat panel display, comprising:
- a substrate;
- a plurality of pixels formed on the substrate, wherein each pixel includes a plurality of subpixels and each subpixel emits a different color of light;
- and
- a brightness control layer formed on the subpixels, wherein the brightness control layer includes first and second sub-layers, wherein at least one of the first and second sub-layers comprises, in a given pixel, a plurality of sections having different thicknesses, and wherein the plurality of sections are formed over the plurality of subpixels, respectively.
