A toner comprising: (i) toner particles, each toner particle comprising a binder resin and a colorant; and (ii) an oxymonocarboxylic acid or a salt thereof, wherein a total content of the oxymonocarboxylic acid or the salt thereof in the toner is 10 to 173 ppm based on the total weight of the toner.

A toner comprising:
- toner particles, each of the toner particles comprising a binder resin;
- a colorant;
- and
- an oxymonocarboxylic acid or a salt thereof,
- wherein a total amount of the oxymonocarboxylic acid or the salt thereof in the toner is 10 to 173 ppm based on the total weight of the toner, and
- the oxymonocarboxylic acid is represented by Formula (OM):
- HO—R—COOH, Formula (OM)
- wherein R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group;
- or a substituted or unsubstituted arylene group.
