Abstract
A method for assembling a modular printhead assembly that has a channel member with flexible sides, an elongate ink-delivery member and a plurality of modules for being received in the channel member in fluid communication with the ink-delivery member, includes the step of flexing the sides of the channel member apart to enable receipt of the printhead modules.

A method for assembling a modular printhead assembly, the printhead assembly comprising a channel member with flexible sides, an elongate ink-delivery member and a plurality of modules for being received in the channel member in fluid communication with the ink-delivery member, the method comprising the step of flexing the sides of the channel member apart to enable receipt of the printhead modules.
A method for assembling a modular printhead assembly, the printhead assembly comprising a channel member with flexible sides, and elongate ink-delivery member and a plurality of modules for being received in fluid communication with the ink-delivery member, the method comprising the steps of:
- flexing the sides of the channel member apart to enable receipt of the printhead modules;
- and
- fastening capping devices to respective printhead modules.
