Abstract
The invention describes a composition comprising a) an organic material which is susceptible to oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation, and b) at least one melt additive of a compound of the formula I R1(I)R3XR2 wherein the general symbols are as defined in claim 1. The compounds of the formula I are useful as reducers of surface energy for organic materials, for example, for increasing the oil and water repellency of organic materials.

A composition comprising
- a) an organic material which is susceptible to oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation, and
- b) at least a compound of the formula I
- wherein
- R1 is —NO2, —N═CH—R4 or
- R2 is —X—R3,
- R3 is a fluorine containing group,
- R4 is C1-C25alkyl, C3-C25alkenyl, unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl substituted phenyl;
- R5 is hydrogen, —Y—R7,
- R6 is hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl or benzyl,
- R7 is C1-C25alkyl, C2-C25alkenyl, unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl or C1-C4alkanoylamino substituted phenyl;
- unsubstituted or C1-C4alkyl substituted phenylamino;
- R8 is —NO2, —N═CH—R4 or
- R9 is hydrogen or —Y—R7,
- R10 is hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl or benzyl,
- X is
- R11 is hydrogen, C1-C8alkyl or benzyl,
- Y is
- Z is C1-C25alkylene, 1,2-phenylene, 1,3-phenylene, 1,4-phenylene
- and
- R12 and R13 are each independently of one another hydrogen, C1-C12alkyl or phenyl, or R11 and R12 together with the linking carbon atom, form a C5-C8cycloalkylidene ring which is unsubstituted or substituted by 1 to 3 C1-C4alkyl groups.
