System for power sub-metering

An electrical sub-metering system for making available information associated with power consumption of at least one circuit of a plurality of circuits, the system comprising:

• an electrical panel board configured to distribute power to the plurality of circuits;
• at least one circuit breaker disposed within the electrical panel board, the at least one circuit breaker in power connection with a conductor of the at least one circuit, the at least one circuit breaker comprising a current measuring device configured to measure current through the at least one circuit;
• a voltage sensor configured to measure voltage of each circuit of the plurality of circuits;
• a hub in signal communication with the voltage sensor and the at least one circuit breaker, the hub configured to collect the information associated with power consumption from the voltage sensor and the at least one circuit breaker via the signal communication;
• and
• a data collector in signal communication with the hub, the data collector configured to collect and make available to a user the information associated with power consumption for each circuit;
• wherein the signal communication between the hub and the at least one circuit breaker is accomplished via a single communication interface, the single communication interface comprising a single communication link connected to the circuit breaker and the hub, the single communication link having a plurality of communication paths.
