Abstract
A thermal sensing bulb for an expansion valve, the bulb containing a ballast material, the ballast material including a plurality of particles including a calcium silicate hydrate.
Claims14
A thermal sensing bulb for an expansion valve, the bulb containing a ballast material, the ballast material comprising a plurality of particles including a calcium silicate hydrate, wherein the particles are substantially uniform in physical characteristic and a given quantity of the particles exhibits a substantially uniform adsorption characteristic.
A refrigeration system comprising:
- a thermostatic expansion valve, said expansion valve comprising a thermal sensing bulb, said thermal sensing bulb comprising a working fluid, said working fluid sealed inside said thermal sensing bulb and in operative communication with said expansion valve;
- and
- a ballast in said thermal sensing bulb, said ballast including a plurality of particles comprising a calcium silicate hydrate, wherein the particles are substantially uniform in physical characteristic and a given quantity of the particles exhibits a substantially uniform adsorption characteristic.
