An authentication information processing method, comprising:

• accepting an entry of authentication information;
• comparing the accepted authentication information with previously set authentication information;
• judging a degree of error between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information based on a result of the comparison between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information;
• and
• determining an expiration date of the authentication information in accordance with the accumulated number of entries of the authentication information.

A computer readable medium having a program stored therein for causing a computer to execute operations comprising:

• accepting an entry of authentication information;
• comparing the accepted authentication information with previously set authentication information;
• judging a degree of error between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information based on a result of the comparison between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information;
• and
• determining a number of possible re-entries of the authentication information and an expiration date of the authentication information in accordance with the judged degree of error.

A computer readable medium having a program stored therein for causing a computer to execute operations comprising:

• accepting an entry of authentication information;
• comparing the accepted authentication information with previously set authentication information;
• judging a degree of error between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information based on a result of the comparison between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information;
• and
• determining an expiration date of the authentication information in accordance with the accumulated number of entries of the authentication information.

An authentication information processing device, comprising:

• an authentication information entering unit accepting an entry of authentication information;
• authentication information comparing unit comparing the accepted authentication information with previously set authentication information;
• a judging unit judging a degree of error between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information based on a result of the comparison between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information;
• a possible re-entry number determining unit determining a number of possible re-entries of the authentication information in accordance with the judged degree of error;
• and
• an expiration date determining unit determining an expiration date of the authentication information in accordance with the judged degree of error.

An authentication information processing device comprising:

• an authentication information entering unit accepting an entry of authentication information;
• authentication information comparing unit comparing the accepted authentication information with previously set authentication information;
• a judging unit judging a degree of error between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information based on a result of the comparison between the accepted authentication information and the previously set authentication information;
• and
• an expiration date determining unit determining an expiration date of the authentication information in accordance with the accumulated number of entries of the authentication information.
