Abstract
According to the invention, there is provided a novel soybean variety designated XB40K07. This invention thus relates to the seeds of soybean variety XB40K07, to the plants of soybean XB40K07 to plant parts of soybean variety XB40K07 and to methods for producing a soybean plant produced by crossing plants of the soybean variety XB40K07 with another soybean plant, using XB40K07 as either the male or the female parent.

A seed of soybean variety XB40K07, representative seed of said soybean variety XB40K07 having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-9329.
A soybean plant, or a part thereof, expressing all the physiological and morphological characteristics of soybean variety XB40K07, representative seed of said soybean variety having been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-9329.
A method for producing a XB40K07 derived soybean plant, comprising:
- a. Crossing soybean variety XB40K07, a sample of said soybean variety deposited under ATCC Accession No:
- PTA-9329, with a second soybean plant to yield progeny soybean seed;
- and
- b. Growing said progeny soybean seed to yield said XB40K07-derived soybean plant.
