Claims4
A method of reducing the activity of a single stranded RNA virus in a virus-infected subject wherein the single stranded RNA virus is selected from the group comprising HIV and an avian influenza virus, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising quercetin or a derivative thereof, at least one calcium channel blocker component, an anticonvulsant component, a quinoline or a derivative thereof, and a multivitamin component, in a therapeutically effective amount to reduce viral activity in the subject.
A method of reducing the induction of a cytokine storm, which results from infection with the H5N1 avian influenza virus, in a subject comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising quercetin or a derivative thereof, at least one calcium channel blocker component, an anticonvulsant component, a quinoline or a derivative thereof, and a multivitamin component, in sufficient amounts to reduce the induction of the cytokine storm.
