Abstract
The invention relates to degradable chewing gum bases comprising elastomer, polymer resin, filler and further additives, in which the filler portion is entirely or partially replaced by an photoactive filler.

A degradable chewing gum base comprising elastomer, polymer resin, titanium dioxide in the anatase modification in an amount sufficient to promote degradation of the elastomer and the polymer resin, and further additives.
