Abstract
A spectacle lens is disclosed. The disclosed lens provides a vision correcting area for the correction of a wearer's refractive error. The viewing correction area provides correction for non-conventional refractive error to provide at least a part of the wearer's vision correction. The lens has a prescription based on a wave front analysis of the wearer's eye and the lens can further be modified to fit within an eyeglass frame.
Claims52
An ophthalmic lens for a user, comprising:
- a first region comprising a far distance focus zone;
- a second region comprising a progressive addition focus zone to contribute a first add power to the lens;
- and
- a third separate region comprising a non-progressive optical power zone to contribute a second add power to the lens,
- wherein the third separate region is in optical communication with a start of the progressive addition focus zone and a portion of a full near add power area of the progressive addition focus zone.

A semi-finished lens blank, comprising:
- a first region comprising a far distance focus zone;
- a second region comprising a progressive addition lens design having a progressive addition focus zone having a first add power;
- and
- a separate third region having a second add power, wherein the separate third region is aligned and in optical communication with at least a portion of the second region.
