Abstract
The present invention provides a fibrinogen-based tissue adhesive which contains an elastase inhibitor.
Claims12
An isolated fibrinogen based tissue adhesive comprising fibrinogen in an amount of 50-110 mg/ml of the tissue adhesive, and an admixed elastase inhibitor, wherein said elastase inhibitor is α1-antiprotease in an amount of 0.01 U/ml to 1 U/ml of the tissue adhesive and wherein said tissue adhesive is resistant to lysis in an environment with high fibrinolytic activity for a period of time which is at least 15 hours.
