Abstract
The invention relates to a granulated raw material for refractory graphite-containing products in the form of shaped granules, with the granules each comprising a coarse resistor particle which is enveloped by a shell comprising graphite flocs and cured binder, in particular a carbon-containing binder. In addition, the invention relates to a process for producing the granulated resistor material and to the use of the granulated raw material.
Claims44
A granulated raw material for refractory graphite-containing products in the form of shaped granules, with the granules each comprising:
- a coarse resistor particle which is enveloped by a shell comprising graphite flocs and cured binder, in which fine and/or very fine resistor particles are fixed between the graphite flocs and in the binder;
- and
- wherein the graphite flocs are arranged in the shell in the manner of interlocking scales extending essentially in the circumferential direction of the granule.
