Method and apparatus for processing a plurality of input video signals in display device

A video signal computer processor, comprising:

• a programmed computer processor controlling the video signal processor according to a process comprising:
• processing the plurality of input varied video signals to output to a display screen,
• detecting a new video signal, aside from a presently displayed video signal periodically checking if a new video signal, aside from a presently displayed video signal, is input;
• automatically displaying a predetermined menu if the new video signal is input according to the detecting, the menu allowing a user to select any one of whether to display the new video signal to the display screen, whether to continue displaying the presently displayed video signal, and whether to simultaneously display both the new video signal and the presently displayed video signal on the display screen, wherein the menu enables the user to make the selection without requiring the user to access another menu.
