Abstract
The present invention relates to a new method of cross-coupling aryl moieties comprising reacting an arylhalide with an arylboronic acid in the presence of a palladium compound and a compound comprising a di-alkylphosphine moiety.
Claims13
A method of cross-coupling aryl moieties comprising reacting an aryihalide with an arylboronic acid in the presence of a palladium compound and a compound comprising a di-alkylphosphine, provided that neither aryl moiety comprises a heteroaryl ring, wherein the di-alkylphosphine has the formula:
- (R1)2X—R2, wherein
- X is P or P═O;
- each R1 is, independently, a bulky alkyl;
- and
- R2 is benzyl, 2,2-dimethyl-propyl, —(CH3)3Si—CH2—, or pyren-1-yl.
A method of cross-coupling aryl moieties comprising reacting an arylhalide with an arylboronic acid in the presence of a palladium compound and a compound comprising a di-alkylphosphine, provided that neither aryl moiety comprises a heteroaryl ring, wherein the di-alkylphosphine has the formula:
- (R1)2X—R2, wherein
- X is P or P═O;
- R1 is adamantyl, independently, or neopentyl;
- and
- R2 is H, alkyl, arylalkyl, or a fused polyaromatic group.
