Method for producing electronic job pages

A method for producing a plurality of electronic job pages using a digital camera and a computer, comprising the steps of:

• a) capturing and storing a first group of digital images using the digital camera;
• b) designating, in response to a user input, that subsequent captured digital images are to form a second group of digital images;
• c) capturing and storing a second group of digital images using the digital camera;
• d) storing data in a memory of the digital camera which identifies the first and second groups of digital images;
• e) transferring the first and second group of digital images, and the data identifying the first and second groups of digital images, from the digital camera to the computer;
• and
• f) using the transferred data identifying the first and second groups of digital images to produce a first electronic job page including the first group of digital images and a second electronic job page including the second group of digital images;
• wherein the method further includes the step of selecting between a normal mode and an electronic job page mode, using a mode control of the digital camera, prior to capture of at least a given one of the images, wherein the given image when subsequently captured is automatically associated with information identifying the selected mode;
• wherein, when the electronic job page mode has been selected, the digital camera provides a smaller image file than when the normal mode has been selected;
• and
• wherein one or more digital images associated with the normal mode can be identified as favorite images, while only one digital image associated with the electronic job page mode can be identified as a favorite image, if a subsequent digital image is captured after the one digital image associated with the electronic job page mode has been identified as the favorite image, activating a control in the digital camera causes the subsequent digital image to become the favorite image and the previous image is automatically deselected as a favorite.
