Method and apparatus for generating and distributing satellite tracking information

A apparatus for creating long term satellite tracking data, the apparatus comprising:

• memory having stored therein executable instructions;
• a processor operable to execute the executable instructions to:
• a) extract from satellite-tracking data parameters representing current movements of at least one satellite-positioning-system satellite;
• b) compute a model using the parameters, wherein the model models the movements of the at least one satellite-positioning-system satellite longer than the satellite-tracking data;
• c) compare, for an overlapping period of time, the model to the satellite-tracking data;
• and
• d) adjust the model to match the satellite tracking data for the overlapping period of time so as to form an adjusted model, wherein the adjusted model comprises the long term satellite tracking data.

An apparatus for creating long term satellite tracking data, the apparatus comprising:

• a processor operable to execute executable instructions;
• memory having stored therein executable instructions, wherein execution of the executable instructions by the memory by the processor causes:
• a) extract from satellite-tracking data parameters representing current movements of at least one satellite-positioning-system satellite;
• b) compute a model using the parameters, wherein the model models the movements of the at least one satellite-positioning-system satellite longer than the satellite-tracking data;
• c) compare, for an overlapping period of time, the model to the satellite-tracking data;
• and
• d) adjust the model to match the satellite tracking data for the overlapping period of time so as to form an adjusted model, wherein the adjusted model comprises the long term satellite tracking data.
