Printer with digital photograph storage and display

A portable device for viewing and printing digital photo images, the portable device comprising:

• a digital storage device for storing digital photo images;
• a display screen for displaying the digitally stored images;
• and
• a printer having a pagewidth ink jet print head for printing the digitally stored images onto print media, the printer including a removable print cartridge, wherein the removable print cartridge houses an air filter therewithin
• a first motor;
• a pump operably connected to the first motor and the air filter;
• and
• a print medium transport mechanism operably connected to the first motor;
• wherein the first motor is configured to simultaneously drive the pump and print medium transport mechanism such that air is provided to the air filter whilst the print medium is transported through the printer.
