Wiper blade

A wiper blade comprising:

• a base portion to be attached to a wiper arm;
• a lip portion for sweeping away a water droplet or debris adhered to a glass window;
• a thin neck portion connecting the lip portion and the base portion;
• and
• a sweeping surface layer portion formed on a side surface of the lip portion, the sweeping surface layer comprising a scale-like powder and a binder which includes a water-repellency silicone-base rubber composition for binding the scale-like powder to the lip portion wherein the silicone-base rubber composition has a hardness in a range of 40˜70 on a durometer type A scale and includes a raw rubber selected from the group consisting of dimethyl silicone raw rubber, methyl vinyl silicone raw rubber, methyl phenyl vinyl silicone raw rubber and fluoro silicone raw rubber,
• the scale-like powder being laminated in a thickness direction of the lip portion and particles of the laminated scale-like powder being bound to each other with the binder, and wherein particles of the scale-like powder at an outermost layer of the sweeping surface layer portion in the thickness direction are exposed to air at a surface of the sweeping surface layer portion.
