## Abstract

A display member, particularly a plasma display member, can be produced by a process including applying a paste which includes a urethane compound and inorganic fine particles onto a substrate and then firing the paste. The display member has a post-firing pattern without any defect.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A paste comprising a urethane compound, inorganic fine particles and an organic solvent, wherein the inorganic fine particles comprise low melting glass powder having a softening point under load of from 450° C. to 600° C.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A paste according to claim 1, wherein the content of the inorganic fine particles in the paste is in the range of from 40 to 80 wt %.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

A paste according to claim 1, wherein the urethane compound comprises a urethane compound having an ethylenic unsaturated group.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

A paste according to claim 1, wherein the urethane compound has a molecular weight ranging from 15,000 to 50,000.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

A paste according to claim 1, wherein the content of the urethane compound in the paste is in the range of from 0.1 to 20 wt %.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

A paste according to claim 1, wherein the urethane compound contains an ethylene oxide unit.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

A paste according to claim 1, wherein the paste further comprises a polymer having a carboxyl group.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

A paste according to claim 7, wherein the polymer having a carboxyl group has an ethylenic unsaturated group.
