Abstract
Disclosed are compositions for anchoring materials in or to concrete or masonry. The compositions preferably comprise alkylacrylate ester monomer and a copolymer of alkylacrylate ester and methacrylic acid monomers, and free-radical catalyst.
Claims19
A composition for anchoring materials in or to concrete or masonry, which composition comprises:
- a. alkylacrylate ester monomer;
- b. a copolymer or alkylacrylate ester and methacrylic acid monomers;
- c. a filler;
- d. a free-radical catalyst, and
- e. from about 1 part per million to about 0.5 wt. % of a promoter comprising an organic salt of a transition metal, wherein said wt % is based upon the total weight of the composition.
2 more elements
A composition for anchoring materials in or to concrete or masonry that is made by mixing a first composition, which first composition comprises:
- a. a solution of methacrylate ester monomer and methacrylate ester/methacrylic acid copolymer;
- and
- b. a filler;
- and
- a second composition, which second composition comprises:
- a. a free-radical catalyst;
- and
- b. from about 1 part per million to about 0.5 wt. % of a promoter comprising an organic salt of a transition metal, wherein said wt % is based upon the total weight of the composition.
