Pump unit

A pump unit including first and second hydraulic pumps, wherein:

• a center section on which the first and second hydraulic pumps are mounted forms a first pair of inlet/outlet passages that are communicated with the first hydraulic pump and have connection ports opened to the outside of the center section, a second pair of inlet/outlet passages that are communicated with the second hydraulic pump and have connection ports opened to the outside of the center section at the same side as the connection ports of the first pair of inlet/outlet passages, a first bypass passage for communicating between the first pair of inlet/outlet passages, a first bypass valve for selectively communicating or shutting off the first bypass passage, a second bypass passage for communicating between the second pair of inlet/outlet passages, and a second bypass valve for selectively communicating or shutting off the second bypass passage,
• the first and second bypass valves have proximal ends to be operated from the outside of the center section, and
• the proximal ends of the first and second bypass valves are positioned at different sides of the center section from the side at which the connection ports of the first pair of inlet/outlet passages and the second pair of inlet/outlet passages are positioned.

A pump unit including first and second hydraulic pumps, wherein

• a center section on which the first and second hydraulic pumps are mounted forms a first pair of inlet/outlet passages that are communicated with the first hydraulic pump and have connection ports opened to the outside of the center section, a second pair of inlet/outlet passages that are communicated with the second hydraulic pump and have connection ports opened to the outside of the center section at the same side as the connection ports of the first pair of inlet/outlet passages, a bypass passage for communicating between the first pair of inlet/outlet passages and between the second pair of inlet/outlet passages, and a bypass valve for selectively communicating or shutting off between the first pair of inlet/outlet passages and between the second pair of inlet/outlet passages,
• the bypass valve has a proximal end to be operated from the outside of the center section, and
• the proximal end of the bypass valve is positioned at a different side of the center section from the side at which the connection ports of the first pair of inlet/outlet passages and the second pair of inlet/outlet passages are positioned.
