Abstract
Terpolymer compositions of vinyl caprolactam (VCL), dimethylaminopropyl methacrylamide (DMAPMA) and hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) are described to coat substrates for use in computer printers, and provide advantageous print quality thereon.
Claims15
A formulation including a terpolymer composition consisting essentially of vinyl caprolactam (VCL), dimethylaminopropyl methacrylamide (DMAPMA) and hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA), uncrosslinked or crosslinked, unquaternized or quaternized, which exhibits light stability to dyes found in ink-jet printers, as evidenced by a less than 25% color fading in the ASTM G-53-84 test.
