Abstract
A toner comprising a compound represented by the following formula: R1O(R2O)nH where R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 10 to 22 carbon atoms or a distyrene-substituted phenyl group; R2 is an alkylene group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1 to 15.
Claims31
A toner comprising toner particles, wherein the toner contains a compound represented by the following formula (1) in an amount of 1 ppm to 1000 ppm:
- R1O(R2O)nH formula (I)
- wherein R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 10 to 22 carbon atoms or a distyrene-substituted phenyl group;
- R2 is an alkylene group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms;
- and n is an integer of 1 to 15, and
- wherein 50% to 90% by weight of the compound represented by formula (1) is accounted for by a compound having n of 3 to 6.
A toner comprising toner particles which are prepared by a process comprising allowing resin particles and color particles to coalesce with each other in an aqueous medium, wherein the toner contains a compound represented by the following formula (1) in an amount of 1 ppm to 1000 ppm:
- R1O(R2O)nH formula (1)
- wherein R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 10 to 22 carbon atoms or a distyrene-substituted phenyl group;
- R2 is an alkylene group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms;
- and n is an integer of 1 to 15, and
- wherein 50% to 90% by weight of the compound represented by formula (1) is accounted for by a compound having n of 3 to 6.
