Intraluminal therapeutic patch

A method of delivering therapeutics comprising:

• placing an intraluminal patch over an expandable delivery device, the expandable delivery device having an expanded and contracted position, and wherein a sheath is slidably disposed on the expandable delivery device, the sheath positioned to slide over the intraluminal patch;
• advancing the delivery device to a target site;
• exposing the intraluminal patch by sliding the sheath proximally;
• expanding the delivery device so that the patch adheres to the target site;
• isolating the target site from surrounding area with said patch;
• contracting and withdrawing the delivery device, leaving the patch at the target site;
• and
• emitting a drug from the intraluminal patch to the target site over a sustained period of time.

A method of delivering therapeutic comprising:

• providing an intraluminal patch having multiple regions, wherein the intraluminal patch is covered by a sheath;
• delivering the intraluminal patch to a target site;
• bonding the intraluminal patch to the target site;
• absorbing moisture into the intraluminal patch;
• and
• releasing a drug from within the intraluminal patch to the target site as the moisture is absorbed by the intraluminal patch.
