Abstract
A method for measuring the dynamic behavior of an optical system is aimed at rendering the dynamic behavior of the optical system objectively detectable. To this end, the optical system to be measured is stimulated by stimuli whereby causing it to react, and the reaction is detected by means of a wave front analysis.
Claims19
A method for measuring a dynamic behavior of an optical system, the method comprising:
- directing a measurement light into the optical system so as to provide a signal light from the optical system;
- stimulating the optical system to so as to elicit a response;
- and
- performing a wavefront analysis on the signal light over time so as to determine the response, wherein the wavefront analysis includes acquiring a sequential series of wavefront measurements of the signal light in real time and wherein the response is the dynamic behavior of the optical system following the stimulating.

A device for measuring a dynamic behavior of an optical system, the device comprising:
- a light source directing a measurement light into the optical system so as to provide a signal light from the optical system;
- a stimulation unit configured to stimulate the optical system so as to elicit a response from the optical system;
- and
- an aberrometer configured to perform a wavefront analysis on the signal light over time so as to determine the response, wherein the wavefront analysis includes acquiring a series of wavefront measurements of the signal light in real time and wherein the response is the dynamic behavior of the optical system following the stimulating.
