Abstract
A high-frequency module includes a diplexer, first and second high-frequency switches, a SAW duplexer, first and second LC filters functioning as first and second filters, and an SAW filter functioning as a third filter, the module defines a unit that integrates front-end sections of first to third communication systems, a digital cellular system (1.8 GHz band), a personal communication service (1.9 GHz band) and a global system for mobile communications (900 MHz band).

A switching module for switching between a plurality of communication systems comprising:
- a laminated body having a plurality of layers, including a top layer and a bottom layer;
- a ground electrode located on, or near, the bottom layer;
- at least one SAW filter disposed on the top layer;
- a plurality of switches for the plurality of communication systems;
- a plurality of receiving terminals for the plurality of communication systems, each of the plurality of receiving terminals is connected to one of the plurality of switches;
- a plurality of transmitting terminals for the plurality of communication systems, each of the plurality of transmitting terminals is connected to one of the plurality of switches;
- and
- a diplexer connected between an antenna and each of the plurality of switches;
- wherein
- the at least one SAW filter is directly connected to one end of a viahole and the ground electrode is directly connected to the other end of the viahole.
