Abstract
In one embodiment, a system includes at least two detector devices, each detector device for independently detecting a phase event of a composite signal comprising one or more traveling wave signals to provide phase event information. The system further includes a processor configured to receive the phase event information from each detector device and to estimate a direction of arrival of at least one of the traveling wave signals based on the phase event information.
Claims26
A system comprising:
- at least two detector devices, each detector device for independently detecting a time of a zero crossing of a wave signal to provide zero crossing time information;
- and
- a processor configured to receive the zero crossing time information from each detector device and to estimate a direction of arrival of the wave signal based on the zero crossing time information and detector device position information.
A detector device comprising:
- a transducer for detecting a wave signal;
- a bandpass filter coupled to the output of the transducer for filtering the detected wave signal;
- and
- a detector coupled to the output of the bandpass filter for detecting a time of a zero crossing from the filtered wave signal to provide zero crossing time information.
1 more element
A method comprising:
- detecting a time of a zero crossing of a wave signal independently at two or more positions to provide zero crossing time information;
- and
- estimating a direction of arrival of the wave signal based on the zero crossing time information and position information.
A system comprising:
- means for detecting a time of a zero crossing of a signal independently at two or more positions to provide zero crossing time information;
- and
- means for estimating a direction of arrival of the wave signal based on the zero crossing time information and position information.
