Abstract
Diabetes treatments comprising, as effective ingredients, biguanide derivatives represented by the following general formula (1), or salts thereof. (wherein R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and each represents one selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, optionally substituted lower alkyl groups and optionally substituted lower alkylthio groups).

A biguanide derivative represented by the following general formula (1) or a salt thereof:
- (wherein R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and each represents one selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an optionally substituted lower alkyl group and an optionally substituted lower alkylthio group).
A therapeutic agent for the treatment of diabetes, comprising as an active ingredient a biguanide derivative represented by the following general formula (1) or a salt thereof:
- (wherein R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and each represents one selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, an optionally substituted lower alkyl group and an optionally substituted lower alkylthio group).
