Honeycomb structure, porous body, pore forming material for the porous body, and methods for manufacturing the pore forming material, the porous body and the honeycomb structure

A pore forming material for a porous body comprising:

• a plurality of spherical bodies comprising an organic polymer component which thermally decomposes during a sintering of a green porous body and an inorganic component,
• wherein the plurality of spherical bodies has a volume ratio of the organic polymer component to the inorganic component which is at least about 0.1 and at most about 250 and is to be mixed with skeleton particles of the green porous body, the organic polymer component comprises a plurality of organic polymer particles, the organic polymer particles have hollow portions, respectively, the inorganic component comprises a plurality of inorganic particles, and each of the spherical bodies comprises each of the organic polymer particles including at least one of the inorganic particles in each of the hollow portions.
