Abstract
A method is provided for transmitting an object including data and a message to reference the data by an object carousel. The method includes inserting information in the message, wherein the information indicates an encoding system used to encode character strings within the message; and broadcasting the data and the message by the object carousel, wherein the message is a broadcast inter ORB protocol (BIOP) message.
Claims7
A method for transmitting an object including data and a message to reference the data by an object carousel, the method comprising:
- inserting information in the message, wherein the information indicates an encoding system used to encode character strings within the message;
- and
- broadcasting the data and the message by the object carousel, wherein the message is a broadcast inter object request broker (ORB) protocol (BIOP)::ServiceGateway message and the inserting the information in the message comprises inserting the information in a general inter ORB protocol (GIOP) codeset service context within the BIOP::ServiceGateway message, and
- wherein the character strings are common object request broker architecture (CORBA) strings defined according to CORBA/IIOP.
