Abstract
Methods are disclosed for identifying oligosaccharides found on proteins and identifying those that are modified in disease states.
Claims27
A method of detecting oligosaccharide sequences on glycoproteins of interest comprising:
- a) providing a glycoprotein;
- b) contacting said glycoprotein with a first recognition agent for detecting one or more oligosaccharides on said glycoprotein and a second recognition agent for detecting one or more peptides on said glycoprotein;
- and
- c) detecting proximity of said first and second recognition agents.

A method of detecting oligosaceharide sequences on glycoproteins of interest comprising:
- a) providing a glycoprotein;
- b) contacting said glycoprotein with a first recognition agent linked to a first oligonucleotide comprising a first sequence for detecting one or more oligosaccharides on said glycoprotein, thereby binding said first oligonucleotide to said glycoprotein;
- c) subjecting said bound first oligonucleotide to PCR amplification;
- and
- d) detecting amplified DNA.
