Abstract
Radiopharmaceutical compositions which are stabilized by addition of a hydrophilic 6-hydroxy-chroman derivative.
Claims21
A composition comprising:
- (1) a radiopharmaceutical precursor comprising a chelator not covalently linked to a targeting moiety or domain;
- and (2) a stabilizing amount of a hydrophilic 6-hydroxy-chroman derivative of the formula:
- wherein
- one of Y or Z is selected from the group consisting of O, S, C═O, and (CHR3)n, where n is an integer from 0 to 3, and the other of Y or Z is selected from the group consisting of C═O and (CHR3)n where n is an integer from 0 to 3;
- each R3 group is independently selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl, halogen, —OR4, —SO3H, —SO3R4, —S(O)mR4, —COOR4, —NO2, —CONHm(R4)2-m, —NHm(R4)2-m, —COR4, —CH2OR4, —COR5, —SO2NHm(R4)2-m, —R5, and —CH2R5, where m is an integer from 0 to 2;
- R4 is H or C1 to C3 alkyl;
- and
- R5 is selected from the group consisting of a monosaccharide, disaccharide, and a hydrophilic peptide sequence of up to 5 amino acids comprising at least one hydrophilic amino acid residue.
