An activity vest for a quadruped animal, comprising:
- a body support portion configured to the underbody of the animal between the four legs of the animal, wherein the body support portion comprises:
- a left side having an interior and an exterior;
- and
- a right side having an interior and an exterior;
- a first closure device attached to either the interior or the exterior of the left side of the body support portion;
- a second closure device attached to either the interior or the exterior of the right side of the body support portion, wherein the first closure device is configured to be coupled to the second closure device along a top line of the animal when the activity vest is placed upon the animal;
- a first fastening member attached to the exterior of the left side;
- a second fastening member attached to the exterior of the right side;
- a front strap having a first end and a second end, wherein the front strap is at least partially attached to the exterior of the left side and the exterior of the right side;
- a rear strap having a first end and a second end, wherein the rear strap is at least partially attached to the exterior of the left side and the exterior of the right side, wherein the front strap, relative to the rear strap, is positioned nearer to the front legs of the animal when the activity vest is worn by the animal, and wherein the front strap has a greater length than the rear strap;
- a first snapping member coupled to the first end of the front strap;
- a second snapping member coupled to the second end of the front strap;
- a first connecting member coupled to the first end of the rear strap;
- and
- a second connecting member coupled to the second end of the rear strap;
- a chest support portion secured forwardly of the body support portion to support the chest of the animal in front of the two front legs of the animal;
- a first strap member having a first end, a second end, an interior, and an exterior;
- and
- a second strap member having a first end, a second end, an interior, and an exterior, wherein the interiors of the first and second strap members corresponds to the interior of the body support portion, the first ends of the first and second strap members are coupled to the chest support portion, third and fourth fastening members are coupled to the interiors of the first and second strap members at the second ends of the first and second strap members, respectively, wherein the third and fourth fastening members are configured to be coupled to the first and second fastening members, respectively, when the vest is placed upon the animal;
- a first bracing member that is attached to the chest support portion and extends from under the chest support portion along the first strap member;
- and
- a second bracing member that is attached to the chest support portion and extends from under the chest support portion along the second strap member, wherein the first bracing member and the second bracing member intersect, the first bracing member having a third connecting member coupled thereto and the second bracing member having a fourth connecting member coupled thereto, wherein the first and second snapping members are connectable to any of the first, second, third, or fourth connecting members, to act as handles.
