Writing instrument with a sheet material dispenser

A sheet material cartridge for use with a writing instrument, the cartridge comprising:

• a dispenser base adapted for removable attachment to the writing instrument;
• a dispenser housing coupled to the dispenser base defining an interior receptacle, the dispenser housing further defining an opening in communication with the interior receptacle;
• and
• sheet material comprising a plurality of sheets disposed in the dispenser housing interior receptacle, the sheet material having a thickness smaller than a width of the opening to allow the sheet material to pass through the opening;
• wherein the dispenser base comprises a nub adapted to be releasably engaged in a recess in the writing instrument, and the dispenser housing comprises a rear surface including a recess sized to releasably engage a nub from a writing cap;
• and
• wherein the nub of the dispenser base has a shape that is complementary to the recess of the dispenser housing, such that the sheet material cartridge could be stacked with a similarly configured second sheet material cartridge.

A writing instrument with a sheet material dispenser comprising:

• a writing instrument body portion having a side wall and a rear wall, the rear wall including a recess, the side wall and the rear wall enclosing a rear end of an ink reservoir;
• a writing tip carried by the body portion;
• a dispenser base adapted for attachment to the writing instrument body portion, the dispenser base including a nub releasably disposable in the recess of the rear end;
• a dispenser housing coupled to the dispenser base defining an interior receptacle, the dispenser housing further defining an opening in communication with the interior receptacle;
• and
• a roll of sheet material disposed in the housing interior receptacle, the sheet material having a thickness smaller than a width of the opening to allow a leading end of the roll of sheet material to pass through the opening.
