Abstract
Using CTL epitopes to the Ebola GP, NP, VP24, VP30, VP35 and VP40 virion proteins, a method and composition for use in inducing an immune response which is protective against infection with Ebola virus is described.
Claims6
An isolated glycoprotein (GP) Ebola peptide comprising the sequence specified in SEQ ID NO:29, or consisting of an isolated peptide fragment of SEQ ID NO:29 comprising at least 9 consecutive amino acids which includes the amino acid threonine corresponding to position 14 in SEQ ID NO:29.
An isolated peptide fragment consisting of YFGPAAEGI (SEQ ID NO:42).
A composition comprising the isolated peptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 29 or an isolated peptide consisting of SEQ ID NO:42, in an effective immunogenic amount in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and/or adjuvant.
An immunogenic composition comprising the isolated peptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 29 or an isolated peptide consisting of SEQ ID NO:42, in an effective immunogenic amount in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and/or adjuvant.
A composition comprising recombinant virus replicon particles expressing the peptide of SEQ ID NO:29 or an isolated peptide consisting of SEQ ID NO:
- 42, in an effective immunogenic amount in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and/or adjuvant.
