Accessory mounting system for mounting a plurality of accessories to the windshield of a vehicle

An accessory mounting system suitable for mounting a plurality of accessories at a windshield portion within the interior cabin of a vehicle, said accessory mounting system comprising:

• a housing;
• said housing adapted for releasable mounting to a receiving structure on the interior surface of the windshield of the vehicle;
• at least two accessories housed in said housing;
• one of said at least two accessories comprising a forwardly-viewing camera;
• another of said at least two accessories comprising a rain sensor;
• and
• said forwardly-viewing camera viewing through the windshield of the vehicle when said housing is mounted to said receiving structure.

An accessory mounting system suitable for mounting a plurality of accessories at a windshield portion within the interior cabin of a vehicle, said accessory mounting system comprising:

• a housing;
• said housing adapted for releasable mounting to a receiving structure on the interior surface of the windshield of the vehicle;
• at least two accessories housed in said housing;
• one of said at least two accessories comprising a forwardly-viewing camera;
• another of said at least two accessories comprising a rain sensor;
• said forwardly-viewing camera viewing through the windshield of the vehicle when said housing is mounted to said receiving structure;
• wherein said housing comprises a pivot element and wherein said pivot element includes a conduit therethrough for electrical wiring;
• and
• wherein said pivot element connects to an interior mirror.
