Dependent claims

A lyophilized, rigid, surfactant-free reagent sphere useful to determine the presence of one or more antigens in a bodily fluid, said sphere prepared by freezing in liquid nitrogen and comprising at least one antibody reactive with the antigen, wherein said antibody is distributed throughout a carbohydrate lattice.
