Abstract
A method for controlling the dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine includes a pre-acceleration step for accelerating a drum to a predetermined control starting speed, and a main accelerating step for accelerating the drum from the control starting speed to a target speed along a linear locus having a preset acceleration slope. A deviation of the center of gravity of the laundry and a pre-spinning time period are reduced in the aforementioned control method.
Claims29
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- and
- substantially immediately upon reaching the first predetermined speed, accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- and
- running the motor at a fixed speed for the second predetermined time period when the motor reaches the second predetermined speed during a constant speed running period, wherein said constant speed running period determines whether to start the main spinning step of said washing machine.
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- substantially immediately upon reaching the first predetermined speed, accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- operating the drum at the second predetermined speed for a predetermined time period;
- and
- determining whether to accelerate or decelerate the drum after operating the drum at the second predetermined speed for the predetermined time period.
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- substantially immediately upon reaching the first predetermined speed, accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- and
- determining whether to operate the drum at the second predetermined speed for a predetermined time period or to decelerate the drum.
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- substantially immediately upon reaching the first predetermined speed, accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- and
- determining whether to start a main spinning step of said washing machine for dehydrating laundry or to decelerate the drum.
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- substantially immediately upon reaching the first predetermined speed, accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- operating the drum at the second predetermined speed for a predetermined time period in order to estimate an unbalance of the drum;
- and
- determining whether to accelerate the drum for dehydrating laundry or to decelerate the drum according to the unbalance of the drum.
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- estimating an unbalance of the drum while the drum is accelerating during the main acceleration period;
- operating the drum at the second predetermined speed for a predetermined time period;
- and
- determining whether to accelerate the drum for dehydrating laundry or to decelerate the drum according to the estimated unbalance.
A method for controlling a dehydrating operation of a drum type washing machine, said method comprising:
- accelerating a drum of the washing machine to a first predetermined speed during a pre-acceleration period;
- accelerating the drum along a linear locus for a predetermined time period between the first predetermined speed and a second predetermined speed during a main acceleration period;
- estimating a difference between the speed based on the locus and an actual speed during the main acceleration period;
- maintaining a drum speed at the second predetermined speed during a constant speed running period;
- and
- increasing the drum speed when the estimated difference is less than a preset value, and decreasing the drum speed when the difference is greater than the preset value.
