Abstract
The present invention relates to wettable silicone hydrogels comprising the reaction product of at least one siloxane containing component and at least one reactive, hydrophilic polymeric internal wetting agent. The present invention further relates to silicone hydrogel contact lenses comprising at least one oxygen permeable component, and an amount of reactive, hydrophilic polymeric internal wetting agent sufficient to impart wettability to said device.
Claims39
A silicone hydrogel formed from a reaction mixture comprising at least one oxygen permeable component and at least one reactive, hydrophilic polymeric internal wetting agent derived from at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polymers of Formulae of II, IV, VI and VII
A silicone hydrogel formed from a reaction mixture comprising at least one oxygen permeable component and at least one reactive, hydrophilic polymeric internal wetting agent wherein said reactive, hydrophilic polymeric internal wetting agent comprises a reactive high molecular weight copolymer derived from monomers comprising vinyllactam monomers and vinyl carboxylate monomers.
