Connector assembly for conductors of a utility power distribution system

An electrical connector assembly comprising:

• a first conductive member and a second conductive member separately fabricated from one another, each of the first and second conductive members comprising a base portion and a deflectable hook portion extending from the base portion, the base portion and the hook portion of each conductive member forming a channel, the channel extending between a base end and a hook end, wherein the base portion of the first conductive member is nested at the base end of the channel in the second conductive member and the base portion of the second conductive member is nested at the base end of the channel in the first conductive member, and wherein the hook portion of the first conductive member is adapted to receive a first conductor at the conductor end of the channel in the first conductive member, and the hook portion of the second conductive member is adapted to receive a second conductor at the conductor end of the channel in the second conductive member;
• and
• a wedge member variably positionable between the base portions of the first and second conductive members for controlling the relative positions of the first and second conductive members.
