Abstract
A bicycle control apparatus comprises a mounting member structured to be attached to a bicycle, a control unit structured to be mounted to the mounting member and a battery unit structured to be detachably mounted to the control unit above the control unit.

A bicycle control apparatus comprising:
- a mounting bracket structured to be attached to a bicycle;
- a control unit structured to be mounted to the mounting bracket, wherein the control unit includes a first power terminal;
- a battery unit, wherein the battery includes a first battery terminal;
- and
- a detachable coupling that couples the battery unit to the control unit above the control unit such that both the battery unit and the control unit attach to the bicycle through the mounting bracket, wherein the first power terminal contacts the first battery terminal when the battery unit is mounted to the control unit.

- a control unit structured to be mounted to the mounting bracket;
- a battery unit;
