Abstract
Test system for the determination of in-vivo active hemostasis proteases or of trypsin or subtilisin in biological fluids and the usage thereof to determine the in-vivo activation of hemostasis or to diagnose pancreatitis.
Claims19
A method for the determination of the in vivo activity of a hemostasis protease in a biological fluid supplemented with arginine and/or guanidine comprising the steps of incubating a first sample of the biological fluid with at least one chromogenic or fluorogenic substrate for the hemostasis protease, the chromogenic or fluorogenic substrate present at a final test concentration in the first sample, and detecting chromogenic or fluorogenic activity, wherein hemostasis proteases are not artificially activated prior to detection.
A method to determine the in vivo activity of trypsin and/or subtilisin in a biological fluid supplemented with arginine and/or guanidine, comprising incubating the biological fluid with at least one chromogenic or fluorogenic substrate for trypsin and/or for subtilisin and detecting chromogenic or fluorogenic activity, wherein trypsin and/or subtilisin are not artificially activated prior to detection.
