The present invention relates to epothilone derivatives, having the following formula: in which the variables G, W, Q, X, Y, B1, B2, Z1, Z2, and R1–R7 are defined herein, methods for preparation of the derivatives and intermediates thereof.

A compound having the formula V:
- wherein,
- Q is
- R8 is methyl;
- G is 1-methyl-2-(2-methyl-4-thiazolyl)ethenyl;
- W is NH;
- X is O;
- Y is O;
- Z1 and Z2 are CH2;
- B1 and B2 are OH;
- R1, R2, and R7 are hydrogen;
- and
- R3, R4, R5 and R6 are methyl;
- and/or a pharmaceutically-acceptable hydrate, solvate, and/or geometric, optical, and/or stereoisomer thereof.
